As of July 9th, 2024, Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in the film adaptation of Paul B. Rainey’s graphic novel Why Don’t You Love Me? A24 has secured the rights and enlisted Robert Funke, co-creator of On Becoming a God in Central Florida, to write the screenplay. The 2023 comedy novel explores a couple navigating marital challenges and a surreal sense of disconnection in their lives. Lawrence, who will also produce the film alongside Justine Ciarrocchi, Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, Emily Hildner, and A24, continues to expand her collaboration with Apple Studios and A24 following recent projects like The Wives and No Hard Feelings.
