A feature film based on cult Minneapolis rock icons The Replacements is in the works. Stranger Things actor-musician Finn Wolfhard is teaming up with his father, Eric Wolfhard, and producer Rich Peete to adapt Bob Mehr’s best-selling biography Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements into a screenplay, with Wolfhard attached to write (and potentially direct) the project. The story will dramatize the band’s rise through the 1980s alternative and punk scenes and bring one of American rock’s most influential and chaotic groups to the big screen.
