Britney Spears is set to have her life story adapted into a biopic. The pop star announced that her recent memoir, The Woman in Me, will be turned into a feature film by Universal Pictures. Jon M. Chu, known for Wicked, will direct, and Marc Platt, of La La Land fame, will produce. Spears revealed the news on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with Marc Platt. He’s always made my favorite movies … stay tuned.”
