Michelle Pfeiffer has joined the cast of Margo’s Got Money Troubles, an eight-episode series adaptation of Rufi Thorpe’s novel, for Apple TV+. The series is helmed by Pfeiffer’s husband, David E. Kelley.
The story centers on Margo Millet (played by Elle Fanning), the daughter of a Hooters waitress and a former pro wrestler. After an affair with a college English professor leads to a pregnancy at 20, Margo finds herself alone, jobless, and on the brink of eviction. To support herself and her infant, she starts an OnlyFans, using advice from her father’s wrestling days to create a character the audience will love.
Pfeiffer will portray Margo’s mother, Shyanne, and will also serve as an executive producer alongside Kelley, Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, Brittany Kahan Ward, Matthew Tinker, and Rufi Thorpe. Kidman’s role in the series has not yet been revealed.
Pfeiffer’s involvement in the project follows her recent announcement as the executive producer and star of The Madison, a Yellowstone spinoff for Paramount Network.
