Elon Musk, tech billionaire, self-styled provocateur and walking ratio, is set to get the satirical treatment in Artificial, Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming AI dramedy written by Simon Rich. A certain Emmy-nominated comedy veteran is reportedly circling the role, bringing with him the rare comedic instincts required to take on what might be Hollywood’s strangest challenge yet: making Musk funny on purpose.
The film, which explores the messy rise of artificial intelligence and the oversized personalities behind it, includes Musk in a handful of scenes that mix villainy with comic relief. No word yet on whether the character will be asked to tweet, dance stiffly or name a child something resembling a CAPTCHA.
