Nico Robin, also known as the “Devil Child” and the “Light of the Revolution,” serves as the archaeologist for the Straw Hat Pirates and holds the position of Senior Officer within the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. She joined the crew as its seventh member and the sixth to do so chronologically, entering the fold at the conclusion of the Arabasta Arc. Although she temporarily departed during the Water 7 Arc, she reunited with the crew during the Enies Lobby Arc.
Born into a lineage of archaeologists, Robin is the daughter of Nico Olvia. Gifted with the abilities of the Hana Hana no Mi, she can manifest her body parts or her entire self on any surface at will. Robin’s significance is underscored by her status as the sole survivor of the decimated West Blue island Ohara. She stands alongside only one other individual globally in possessing the ability to interpret and decode Poneglyphs, a talent deemed forbidden and dangerous by the World Government.
